The Office of Clean Air and Climate leads the Department's efforts to protect air quality and address climate change through research, regulation, and technical assistance.

Mission

To ensure clean, healthy air for all Americans by setting and enforcing air quality standards, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and supporting state and local air quality management programs.
